Expanded Program on Immunization
There were only 76.7% children 9-11 months who were fully immunized in 2002 compared to 81.7% in 2001. This represents a total of 1,830,325 out of 2,385,110 eligible children immunized before reaching one year of age. National Capital Region has covered the most number of children less than 1 year old with an accomplishment of 86.4%, while Region 11 had the least with 65.8% immunization coverage.
As per individual antigen, Region 4 registered the most number of children given Measles, DPT1-3, OPV1-3 while Region 2 had the most number of children given Hepatitis B1-3 vaccine.

sanofi pasteur 2005 Southern Hemisphere flu vaccine now available in the Philippines
It is recommended that vaccines be used in the 2005 season (Southern hemisphere winter) contain the following:
- An A/New Caledonia/20/99(H1N1)-like virus;
- An A/Wellington/1/2004(H3N2)-like virus;
- A B/Shanghai/381/2002-like virus a.
a Currently used vaccine viruses include B/Shanghai/361/2002, B/Jilin/20/2003 and B/Jiangsu/10/2003.
